Today, the Vanderbilt Commodores accepted an invitation to take on the ACC's Boston College Eagles in the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. central time on Nashville's L.P. Field.
It is Vanderbilt's first bowl trip in twenty-six years, when the Commodores lost the Hall of Fame Bowl to the Air Force Academy, 28-36.
Vanderbilt is 1-1-1 all time in the post-season, with a 25-13 win over Auburn University (1955 Gator Bowl); a 6-6 tie with Texas Tech (1974 Peach Bowl); and the loss to Air Force in 1982.

Tickets ordered through Vanderbilt start at $50. They're going for $3 online at stubhub.com and start at $15 through Ticketmaster. So if you're strapped for cash or have a bunch of kids and wouldn't go otherwise, you might want to try these options.
